Rhonda was born in South Africa. At the age of ten an art teacher entered one of her paintings at the Johannesburg Rand Easter Show which received first place in that age group, and so began her career in art.
After graduating from The Johannesburg Art and Design College, she spent her first year as a window dresser/sign writer working for a top design studio in this field. Rhonda then went into advertising where she worked for Republican Publications, the largest magazine publication house in South Africa, and eventually ran the advertising department for their Johannesburg branch. She designed small business advertising doing all the artwork, as well as advising their clients as to what medium to place their advertisements.
In 1980 Rhonda immigrated to the USA making Aptos, California her home. She discovered decorative art and after taking numerous classes from well-known artists she now teaches students herself in her own home art studio, as well as at various art chapters and conventions throughout California.
She also teaches art to individuals and groups of home schooled children in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. These classes range from the basics of brushmanship, techniques, and color; to advanced artistic conception and presentation.
